Senator Kettering Seeks Re-election
DES MOINES – Senator Steve Kettering (R-Lake View) today
announced that he will seek a third term
in the Iowa Senate.
Growing Iowa’s
economy has been an important issue on his agenda in the Senate and he will
continue to focus on initiatives that help create jobs and attract more
businesses to rural areas. “We need to
encourage economic growth by building on our efforts to make Iowa a leader in
alternative energy, retaining Iowa’s Right to Work status and reforming Iowa’s
outdated property tax system,” he said.
Kettering
is ranking member of the Appropriations Committee and also serves on the State
Government, Commerce, Natural Resources and Environment, and Labor and Business
Relations Committees.
“I believe my experience and leadership brings a lot to the
table,” Kettering
said. “It has been an honor to serve in
the Senate for the past six years and I want to continue working on those
issues that are important to my constituents.
I’m asking the people of Senate District 26 to once again elect me as
their senator.”
Kettering represents Senate
District 26, which includes Buena Vista,
Carroll, Sac counties as well as half of Crawford county.
