Angelo Welcomes Erin Pettit to the Senate Page Program

 

DES MOINES – State Sen. Jeff Angelo (R-Creston) welcomed Erin Pettit, a resident of Afton and a junior from East Union High School, to the Iowa Senate.  Erin is the daughter of Doug and Georgia Pettit. 

 

Erin discovered her interest in Iowa politics through involvement with the Capitol Project.  Her sophomore year history teacher Mr. Hardy encouraged Erin to apply for the Iowa Senate Page program, which accepted her participation after a lengthy interview process this past fall.  Erin joins fifteen other Iowa high school students serving as pages in the Iowa Senate during this first session of the 82nd General Assembly.
