Senator Angelo meets with Southwestern Community College

 

DES MOINES – Today Senator Jeff Angelo (R-Creston) met with students and staff from Southwestern Community College. 

 

The group discussed issues that directly affect community colleges and thanked Senator Angelo for his continued support of community colleges in Iowa.

 

“Iowa’s community colleges offer something for everyone,” said Senator Angelo.  “Iowans should be proud of their community colleges.”

 

This morning senators took up SR 126, a resolution declaring today as a day to honor and recognize Iowa’s community colleges on their 40th anniversary.  There are currently 15 community colleges in Iowa.  Every county in Iowa is included in one of these community colleges.
