Elgersma Participates in Capitol Project, Meets Senators & Representatives

 

DES MOINES – Lexi Elgersma, a junior from Sioux Center, is participating in Capitol project 2006. 

 

“It was a real pleasure to meet Lexi and visit with her about the political procedures.  She’s a sharp young lady and I believe this is a great program,” said Senator Mulder.

 

Elgersma spent part of the day on Monday meeting with Senator Dave Mulder of Sioux Center and Representative Dwayne Alons of Hull.

 

Capitol project is a nonpartisan program for high school students.  Participants learn about the legislative process and government agencies, meet with legislators, and staff from government agencies, and work through a mock legislative process.
