Honoring Iowa’s Special Olympics Athletes at the Capitol

(Des Moines) – Sen. Larry Noble (R-Ankeny) joined the rest of the Senate in honoring the achievements of Iowa’s Special Olympic athletes and the success of the 2006 National Special Olympics which were held in Ames in July.

Athlete and Global Messenger, Jenna Schrack of Ankeny presented the Senate with a special plaque displaying the medals awarded to athletes during the Games. Schrack also spoke of her many athletic achievements and her leadership roles within the organization.

Following the presentation in the Senate, Schrack met with Representative Carmine Boal (R-Ankeny).
