Senator Zieman Meets with Winneshiek County 4-H Group

DES MOINES – Today Senator Mark Zieman (R-Postville) met with six 4-H members and their 4-H leader at the Iowa Capitol. April Kuhn, Justine Kuboushek, Maria Kovarik, Michelle Ryant, Erica Dahl, Jennifer Kuhn and their leader Karen Kuhn, from Winneshiek County, participated in 4-H Day at the Legislature.

Some 400 members and volunteers from across the state served legislators omelets in the morning and then met with legislators to discuss their opinions on pending legislation. The 4-Hers also showcased their community service projects in the Rotunda.

The issues of particular interest to 4-Hers include: extra-curricular eligibility, drug abuse and criminal justice; biotechnology, bullying and the Asian Bird Flu.
